\sf\large\red{SOLUTION:-}

●Let the presence of both solid and liquid matter in a mushroom be "x"

So,

Fraction of water in mushroom = 19/20

\bf\large\pink{To \:find: }

●Fraction of Solid matter?

☆Presence of Solid Matter + Liquid Matter = Mushroom( together constitute the mushroom)

So,

Solid Matter× X + 19/20x = X

Let us take Solid Matter as "s".

S × X + 19/20X = X

●Take LCM, as 20

20SX + 19X /20 = X

20SX + 19x = X × 20

20SX + 19X = 20X

20SX = 20X -19X

20SX = X

20 S = X/X

20 = 1/S

or

  • S = 1/20

☆Therefore, 1/20th of Solid matter constitute the Mushroom
