Let us consider 'x' as the length of shorter side & Y as the length of longer side. Let z be the length of diagonal.

z² = x²+y2

As per the given information in your question

(x+y)-z = 1/4*y

=> 4z = 4x + 3y squaring both to the equations

y = 24/7*x

=> 7y =24x
