If in a rectangle the length is increased by 2metre and breadth is decreased by two metre, the area is decreased by 8 square metre. find the length and breadth of the rectangle.

but according to statement

let length = x

breadth = y

area = xy

Case 1

(x + 2)(y - 2) = xy - 8

xy - 2x + 2y - 4 = xy - 8

- 2x + 2y = - 4

x - y = 2
