If in a triangle ABC, first angle is twice of the second angle and the third angle is thrice of the second one. Find the measure of each angle of the triangle.

Answer:

let secind angle be x

first angel is 2x

and the third angle is 3x

now x+2x+3x=180

6x=180

x=30

second angle 30°

first angle 60°

third angle 90°

Your Solution:

Let the second angle in ∆ABC be "a".

then first and third angles are "2a" and "3a" in ∆ABC.

And by Angle Sum Property of Triangle,

a + 2a + 3a = 180°

» 6a = 180

» a = 30° (Second Angle)

2a = 60° (First Angle)

3a = 90° (Third Angle)

∴ The angles in ∆ABC are 30°, 60° and 90°. And we can say that ∆ABC is a Right Angled Triangle or simply "Right triangle" because one of it's angle is 90°.
