If in an A.P., d = 10, find t6 - t2. ( Please help. )

solution : Given , Common difference = 10
t6 - t2 = (a + 5d )-( a + d )= 4d
4d = 4×10 = 40 Answer ✔

t6 - t2

= a + ( 6 - 1 )d - ( a + ( 2 - 1 )d )

= a + 5d - a - d

= 4d

= 4 × 10

= 40
