If in an exam 75 questions are there and 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer and -1 is given for every wrong answer. Then how many integers between -75 and 300 are not possible to obtain in any combination of correct and wrong answers

Step-by-step explanation:

1/3 = 0.3

the minimum score is 0, any wrong answers after that score cannot drop it further unless there are more correct answers.

maximum score is 60 when all are correct.

60= 1/3 of total number (because 1/3 is the negative amount)

60 = 1/3x

x = 60×3

= 180

since we already have considered 1/3 net scores, we will only count 2/3 of the total score because not all of them will be possible as some marks have to be deducted, and marks like 59 cannot be obtained because it would require 63 questions for the least amount of negative answers.

2/3 × 180 = 120
