Answer:
Position of image = between F and P (8.88cm)
Nature of image = diminished
Magnification: m<-1 (-0.55)
Explanation:
We have
f =20
u= -16(concave mirror)
Height of image = 2
Firstly by the formula
1/f = 1/v +1/u We put our values in it
1/20 = 1/v + 1/-16
~by solving we get
v = 80/9 or 8.88 this v denotes the distance of image from the mirror and since it’s a concave mirror the image will be formed on the same side, that too real and inverted.
Now for the magnification although we can say it directly that since it’s a concave mirror it’s magnification will always be m< -1 But for finding it we can put our values in the formula : m = v/u
m = 80/9*(-16)
~ by solving we get m= -5/9 or -0.55 ( m< -1)
