If in triangle ABC, XY divides side AB and AC resp. And by B.P.T. AX/XB= AY/YC, then AB/ AC= AX/AY is true? If yes, then prove it.

Yes it is true
here is the proof
AX/XB=AY/YC
XB/AX=YC/AY
(XB/AX)+1=(YC/AY)+1
(XB+AX)/AX=(YC+AY)/AY
AB/AX=AC/AY
by cross multiplication
AB/AC=AX/AY
