It's resistance is increase because resistance is directly proportional to length of conductor or wire

Resistance is given by the formula, R=¶*L/a .

Where, ¶ is resistance coefficient or resistivity.

L is length and a is cross section area of conductor.

Now if you increase length of the conductor, it is bound to decrease cross section area i.e of length of increased by 0.5% then radius decreases by 0.5% . This will affect resistance as follows.

R'=¶*L(1+1.005)/(π(r(1+1.005))^2)
