If input of diode is 5v and output of diode is 5v what does it mean

well actually voltage cannot be taken as input. moreover if you measure the voltage across 2 ends of anything it will result in a voltage drop.so 5v in and 5v out would mean 0 resistance and 100 percent efficiency.
