for case 1 :- when intensity of sound is I,

case 2 :- when intensity of sound is I',
$\beta_2=10log\frac{30I}{I_0}$ ......(2)

now, increased in sound level = $\beta_2-\beta_1$

= $10log\frac{30I}{I_0}-10log\frac{I}{I_0}$

= $10log\frac{30I}{I}$

=$10log(30)$

= 14.77dB
