If interest on Rs x for 2 years at R% per annum is Rs 80, then what is the interest on Rs 2x for one year at R% per annum?

Given :  interest on Rs x for 2 years at R% per annum is Rs 80

To Find :   interest on Rs 2x for one year at R% per annum

Solution:

SI = P * R * T /100

P = x

R = R

T = 2

SI = 80

=> 80 = x * R * 2 /100

=> 80 = 2xR/100

P = 2x

R = R

T = 1

SI = ?

=> SI  = 2x * R * 1 /100

=> SI = 2xR/100

=> SI = 80
