If 1/2 is root of quadratic equation 4x² - 6kx+ k+ 7

Then x= 1/2

putting value ,we get

4(1/2)^2-6k(1/2)+k+7 = 0

4(1/4) -3 k +k +7 = 0

1-2k+7=0

-2 k +8= 0

-2 k= -8

k= 4

value of k is 4
