It is true brooding over problems does not help us overcome our adversities. It is by looking for solution that we overcome them. In the chapter ‘Dog Named Duke’ we see this truth revealed by the example of Duke. Duke was a very wise dog. He knew his master, Charles won’t be able to recover unless he started taking action. Duke prodded and poked him to get up from the bed and practice walking; he motivated him to walk; and accompanied him, providing all the assistance he could. As a result Charles was able to walk. As a result of the walks with Duke, Hooper began improving so fast. Even the doctor was amazed at the quick recovery.
