- Hence to cover 1 degree it takes 4 minutes. To cover 90 degree it will take 6 hours for 360 minutes. now the east of the place will be ahead in local time as compared to the rest of the place. Hens the the place at 60 degree east longitude will be 6 hours earlier than the 30 degree West longitude. Hence the time at 30 degrees West longitude will be (12-6) = 6am.
