Question

If it cost 1600 rupees to fence a rectangular park of length 20 cm at the rate of 25 rupees per meter . find the breadth of the park and its perimeter. also find its area.

Solution.

Total cost = \sf\green{1600}

Rate of fence= \sf\green{25}

\sf\red{Then\:area\:A\: rectangular\:}

\sf\red{total\:cost\:/rate\: of\: fance}

↝ \sf\green{1600/25}

 ↝ \sf\green{64m^2}

☞Therefore, area = \sf\green{64m^2}

Length of the park = \sf\red{20}

Breadth = \sf\green{?}

Area of rectangle = \sf\pink{l × b}

↝  \sf\red{64} = \sf\green{20× breadth}

↝  \sf\pink{64/20}= \sf\green{b}

↝    \sf\green{3.2}  = \sf\green{b}

☞Therefore breadth is \sf\green{3.2m}

So perimeter of the rectangular park

  ↝    \sf\red{2 ( l + b )}

 ↝ \sf\green{2( 20+3.2)}

↝  \sf\green{ 2 × 23.2 }

↝  \sf\green{ 46.4}

☞So,

↝   \sf\red{breadth = 3.2m}

↝  \sf\pink{ perimeter = 46.4m}

↝  \sf\green{  area = 64m^2 }

Answer: perimeter=2×(l+b)

=1600/25=64

2×(20+b)=64

b=12

area=20×12=240
