Answer:

625J

Explanation:

Inclined plane is tool, which benefits us in force.

Inclined plane gives us benefit in force times the length of incline divided by the heigh of ramp.

So, F₂/F₁=l/h

F₁=25N

F₂/25=l/h

F₂=25l/h=125N

Work is Fh

W=125*5=625J

Hope it helps!

The work required to slide the box to the top of the ramp is 500 J

Given

Force to slide the box up the ramp = 25 N

Distance to the top of the ramp = 20 m

To Find

Work required to slide the box to the top

Solution

The formula for calculating work is given by W = F * d* CosФ where

W is the work required

F is the Force applied = 25 N

d is the displacement, which is the distance of the ramp = 20 m

Ф is the angle of the force applied to the displacement which in this case is 0°

Substituting the values, the equation becomes,

W = 25 * 20 * Cos0° = 25 * 20 * 1 = 500 Nm = 500 J

Hence, the work required to slide the box to the top of the ramp is 500 J
