If it takes 2minutes and 20seconds to walk around a the rectangular path its dimension are 40m and 30m you end up in exactly the same place that you started calculate 1.) Distance traveled, 2.) Displacement, 3.) Average speed in m/s, 4.) Average velocity in m/s

Given, time taken = 2 minutes 20 seconds = 2 ( 60 ) + 20
                                                                    = 120 + 20 = 140
           perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( 40 + 30 ) = 2 ( 70 ) = 140 m

(i) Distance travelled = perimeter of rectangle = 140 m

(ii) Displacement = 0 ( As the initial and the final points are the same )

(iii) Average speed = Distance travelled / Time taken = 140 / 140 = 1 m/s

(iv) Average velocity = Displacement / Time taken = 0 / 140 = 0 m/s

Hope my answer helps you..
