Three different ways by which we can connect 3 resistors

1) Connecting them in series

Req = 3Ω +3Ω + 3Ω = 9Ω

2) connecting them in parallel

1/Req= 1/3 + 1/3 +1/3

Req = 1Ω

3)two in parallel along with 1 in series

1/Req (parallel) = 1/3 + 1/3 = 2/3

Req(parallel) = 3/2

it is connected in series with 1 resistance so,

Req = 3/2 Ω + 3Ω = 9/2Ω

4) connecting 2 in series and parallel with 1

Req for series = 3Ω + 3Ω =9Ω

1/Req for combination = 1/9+1/3 =4/9

Req = 9/4Ω

so, there are four different ways by which we can connect 3 resistors.
