If (J+K) is 25 and (J*K) is 150, find the value of (J-K)?

Solution :

Given J + K = 25 ---( 1 )

J*K = 150 ---( 2 )

( J - K )² = ( J + K )² - 4J*K

= 25² - 4 * 150

= 625 - 600

= 25

J - K = ±√25

=> J - K = ± 5

Therefore ,

J - K = 5 or J - K = -5
