Given,

  • Speed of the bicycle = 18 m/s
  • Time is taken by the bicycle = 36 minutes

To find,

  • We have to find the distance covered.

Solution,

We can simply find the distance covered in 36 minutes by Jack by using the following formula:

Speed of the bicycle = 18 m/s

Time is taken by the bicycle = 36 minutes

Time is taken by the bicycle in seconds = 36 * 60

                                                                  = 2160 sec

    Distance = speed * time

                    = 18 * 2160

                    = 38880 m

As we know,

    1m = 1/1000 km

Distance covered in km is = 38880/1000

                                           = 38.88 km

Hence, if Jack rides a bicycle at 18m/s, then the distance covered by him in 36 minutes is (b)38.88 km.
