Given Equation is k + 1 = sec^2Ф(1 + sinФ)(1 - sinФ).

We know that (a + b)(a - b) = a^2 - b^2

⇒ k + 1 = sec^2Ф * (1 - sin^2Ф)

⇒ k + 1 = sec^2 Ф * cos^2Ф

⇒ k + 1 = sec^2 Ф * (1/sec^2 Ф)

⇒ k + 1 = 1

⇒ k = 1 - 1

⇒ k = 0.

Therefore, the value of k = 0.

hope this helps!
