To Find :
- we need to find the Value of k.
Given :
- k + 6 , 3k , 4k + 2 are in AP
As we know that ,
➔ a2 - a1 = a3 - a2 common difference of AP is Always same ,
So,
- a1 = k + 6
- a2 = 3k
- a3 = 4k + 2
- By using the above concept finding value of k.
➔ 3k - (k + 6) = (4k + 2) - 3k
➔ 3k - k - 6 = 4k + 2 - 3k
➔ 2k - 6 = k + 2
➔ 2k - k = 2 + 6
➔ k = 8
Hence,
- Value of k is 6.
