Kc is directly proportional to concentration of products that is..... Kc ~ [ P ]......

Also it's inversely proportional to concentration of reactant that is Kc ~ 1/[ R ]............

So Kc ~ [ P ]/ [ R ]........ (1)

Now you already know that Ke that is K equilibrium for the following hypothetical reaction in which a single reactant changes to a single product is :-

[ R ] --> [ P ]

rate of forward reaction is directly related to formation of products and hence directly proportional to concentration of reactants which determines the formation of products that is :-

rf~ [ R ]

Or rf = Kf [ R ]

Where Kf is K forward that is rate constant for forward reaction......

rate of backward reaction is directly related to formation of reactants and hence directly proportional to concentration of products which determines the formation of reactants in backward reaction that is :-

rb ~ [ P ]

Or rb = Kb [ P ]

Where Kb is K backward that is rate constant for backward reaction.....

Now according to rate law :-

At equilibrium rf = rb that is rate for both the reaction is constant.....

So rf/rb = 1 = Kf [ R ] /Kb [ P ]........

And therefore :-

Kf/Kb = [ P ]/ [ R ]

Ke = Kf/Kb = [ P ]/ [ R ]

And therefore.......

Ke = [ P ]/ [ R ]

Compare it with equation (1) above....... You will find that Kc is actually nothing but an equilibrium constant.......
