if kinetic energy of a free electron is doubled its de Broglie wavelength changes by the factor?

it will decrease by a factor of 1/√2.

wavelength = h / mv
also if kinetic energy is double it is due to √2 times increase in velocity.
wavelength! = h / √2mv
= 1/√2( h/ mv)
so it decrease with factor of √2 or increase with factor 1/√ 2
