Step-by-step explanation:

mohan's marks=x

kritika's marks=x+2

sum of their marks =2x+2

(x+2)/(2x+2)=54/100

100x+200=108x+108

8x=92

x=11.5

kritika's marks=13.5

mohan's marks=11.5

Given:

More marks socred by Kritika = 2

Kritika's marks = 54% of the total sum

To Find:

Marks obtained by both of them

Solution:

Let Mohan's marks be = x

Let kritika's marks be = x+2

Therefore,

Sum of their marks = x + 2 + x

= 2x + 2

Now, according to question -

(x+2)/(2x+2)=54%

Solving -

(x+2)/(2x+2)=54/100

100x + 200 = 108x + 108

= 108x - 100x = 200 - 108

8x = 92

x = 92/8

x = 11.5

Thus, Mohan's marks are 11.5

Kritika's Marks = x + 2

= 11.5 + 2

= 13.5

Answer: Mohan's marks are 11.5 and Kritika's marks are 13.5
