1. angle 2 = angle 3(alternate interior angles)  

x+2y = 3y+20

x = y+20 ----->(1)

2. angle 3 + angle 1 = 180°

3y+20 + x+y = 180°

substitute x in this equation

3y+20+y+20+y = 180°

5y+40 = 180°

5y = 140°

y = 140°/5

y = 28

substitute y in (1)

x = 28 + 20

x = 48

Therefore,

angle 1 = x + y = 76°

angle 2 = x +2y =  104°

angle 3 = 3y + 20 = 104°

angle 3 = angle 5 = 104°(vertically opposite angles)

angle 5 + angle 4 = 180°

angle 4 = 76°
