Given :- if l place a 9 cm * 9 cm square on a triangle, I can cover upto 60% of the triangle. If I place the triangle on the square, I can cover upto 2/3 of the square . What is the area of the triangle ?

Solution :-

Statement :-

  • if we put square on the ∆ = it covers 60% area of the triangle.
  • if we put the triangle on the square = it covers (2/3) area of the square.

Conclusion :-

  • 60% of the area of the ∆ = (2/3) of the area of the square.

So,

→ 60% of the area of the ∆ = (2/3) of [ 9 * 9 ]

→ 60% of the area of the ∆ = (2/3) of 81

→ 60% of the area of the ∆ = 54 cm².

then,

→ 60% of the area of the ∆ = 54

→ 1% of the area of the ∆ = (54/60)

→ 100% of the area of the ∆ = (54/60) * 100 = 90 cm² . (Ans.)

Hence, The area of the Triangle is 90 cm².
