x^2+2x+1=0

x^2+x+x+1=0

x(x+1) +1(x+1) =0

(x+1)(x+1)=0

so x=-1,-1

shivani2684: can you answer this as well r(x)= x^2 +3x

Answer:

x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

I(x) =  x^2+2x+1  = x^2+ x+ x + 1

=  (x^2+ x) + x + 1  = x (x + 1) + x + 1 = (x + 1) (x + 1)

to find the zero of the polynomial , x + 1 = 0

x = -1
