(i)sum:

         $L_{1} + L_{2}$

        $=$$(10.0 + 9.0) + (0.1+0.1)$

         =$(19.0+0.2)$

(ii) difference:

              $L_{1} + L_{2}$

              $=(10.0 -9.0)+(0.1 +0.1)$

               =$1.0+0.2$
