A prism just separates different wavelengths of white light , called dispersion. Light contains 7 wavelengths so we see spectrum of 7 colours. If any source of light contains 2 wavelengths then we see a spectrum of just two colours.Laser is a monochromatic source of light that is it contains single wavelength. So we will see single wavelength means no spectrum.prism just isolates diverse wavelengths of white light through the process called as scattering. The white Light contains 7 wavelengths. When this light is passed through the prism we see the spectrum of all the seven colors. ... So, she cannot observe seven bands on spectrum.
