If least distance of distance of distinct vision is 35 cm, convex lens should be used.

  • The least distance of distinct vision for normal human eye is 25 cm.
  • In case of eye defect called Hypermetropia or farsightedness, the least distance of distinct vision is increased.
  • In this case, the image is formed behind retina not on retina.
  • Persons with this defect will have difficulty in seeing things that are near but can view objects that are far.
  • To correct this defect, convex lens(converging lens) are used which help to form image on retina.
