If least distance of distance of distinct vision is 35 cm, convex lens should be used.
- The least distance of distinct vision for normal human eye is 25 cm.
- In case of eye defect called Hypermetropia or farsightedness, the least distance of distinct vision is increased.
- In this case, the image is formed behind retina not on retina.
- Persons with this defect will have difficulty in seeing things that are near but can view objects that are far.
- To correct this defect, convex lens(converging lens) are used which help to form image on retina.
