1. Area of rectangle with length 16 cm & width 4 cm

=(length)×(width)

=(16)(4)

=64 cm2

2. Area of square of side x= area of rectangle with length 16 cm & width 4 cm

x2=16×4

x2=64

x=64−−√=8

3. Perimeter of square of side x=8 cm is

=4x

=4(8)

=32 cm

Continued …

Perimeter of the square = 4*side

= 4* 8 = 32

The area of the rectangle =64 cm^2

The value of x =8 cm

The perimeter of the square = 32 cm

Given: -

Length of Rectangle = 7 cm

Width of Rectangle = 16 cm

To Find: - Perimeter and area of the rectangle.

Solution: -

Given that the length of rectangle = l = 7 cm

and Width of rectangle = b = 16 cm

We know the area of rectangle = l x b = 7 x 16 = 112 sq.m

Also the perimeter of rectangle = 2 x (l + b)

                                                     = 2 x ( 7 + 16 ) = 46 m

Therefore the area and perimeter of rectangles are 112 sq.mand 46 m respectively. Both area and perimeter are dependent on the dimensions of rectangle. If one is area of perimeter is higher than the other will also be higher.
