The perimeter of a rectangle,

=2(length +breadth)

Here perimeter=100 cm, length =36 cm

So,

100= 2(36+breadth)

breadth= 100/2-36= 14 cm.

The area of the rectangle

= length x breadth

= 36x14 cm^2

=504 cm^2
