If length of a diagonal of a rhombus is 30 cm and its area is 240 sq cm, find its perimeter.

Answer:

area of rhombus = D1 *D2 /2

= 30* D2/2 = 240

= D2 = 240 × 2 / 30 which is equal to 16 cm . so the diagonals of rhombus are 30 and 16 diagonal = diametre so radius of 1 diagonal is 15 and other diagonal is 8

so to find another side we should use Pythagoras property a² + b² = hypotenuse so 15² + 8²= 289

square root of 289 is 17 . rhombus has equal sides 17 *4 = 68 cm
