if length of a diagonal of a square is 12 cm then find the area of square

diagonal = √2(side)²
12 = √2(side)²
12² = 2(side)²
side = √(144/2)
side = 6√2 cm
so,
area = side² = (6√2)² = 72 cm²

diagonal of a square = root2 × side of the square.

12 = root2 × side of the square.

side of the square = 12/root2

side of the square = 6root2

area = (side of the square) whole square

area = 6(root2)whole square.

area of the sqaure = 36(2)

= 72 sq.mts.
