To find : breadth of rectangle

Given : length = 6 cm  and area = 24\ cm^{2}

Solution :

  • According to question we are given that length and area of rectangle are 6 cm and 24\ cm^{2}  .
  • To find area we use following formula -
  • Area of rectangle = l \times b
  • Substituting the values we get,

        24 = 6 \times b \\b = \frac{24}{6}  \\b = 4

Hence, breadth of rectangle is 4 \ cm .

The length and area of a rectangle are given

Length = 6 cm

Area = 24 cm²

We have to find the breadth of the rectangle

we will use the formula of the area of a rectangle

Area of a rectangle = length × breadth

Putting the values in the above formula

                24 = 6 × breadth

          breadth = 24 / 6

                      = 4

Hence, the breadth of the rectangle will be 4 cm
