Answer:

perimeter of 140 centimeters:

2(L+b) = 140

L+b = 70 equation 1

length of the rectangle is 4 times it’s width:

L = 4b

Substitute 4w in place of L in equation 1 to solve for width

4b + b = 70

5b = 70

b = 14cm

L = 4b = 56 cm

The rectangle is 56 cm by 14 cm

Answer:

Lenght = 56 Width = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

140 cm = 2(4x + 2x)

140 cm = 8x + 2x

140/10 = x

x = 14

Lenght was 4 times of the width = 4×14
