if length of rectangle is 6 more than its breadth .if it's primeter is 42 than write the linear equation

We are Given, l = b+6    ...................................................(1)

and also given, 2(l+b) = 42
                            l+b = 21       
                      so, b+6+b = 21             [By (1)]
                            2b+6 = 21 
                            2b = 15
                          so, b =7.5 

So, l = 13.5 and b = 7.5
