according to pythagorus theorem= one side square+ second side square = (6)sq +(8)sq = (36+64)=100 (faking square root √100 = 10ans

We know that the sum of two sides if triangle is always greater than the third side.
therefore,Other side<6+8cm
So,Other side<14cm
