Light does travel at the same speed through a rainbow, light is a constant. Even though light always moves at the same speed, it does have different wavelengths. When white light, a light containing all the colors of the visible light hits water molecules, the molecules act as an obstruction to the light, and breaks it up into all the different colors (different wavelengths) lights speed isn't what changes colors, it's wavelength
