Ok so here we go :)

∴ 2log [(a + b)/4] = log (ab)

∴ log [(a + b)/4]^2 = log (ab)

∴ [(a + b)/4]^2 = ab

∴ (a^2 + 2ab + b^2)/16 = ab

∴ a^2 + 2ab + b^2 = 16ab

∴ a^2 + b^2 = 14ab

Voila! Thus it is proved :)

Hope this helps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
