given here

log (a/b) + log (b/a) =log (a+b)

we know that

[log (xy)= log x + log y .]

so,

log [(a/b)×(b/a)]= log (a+b)

log( 1) = log (a+b)

=>1= (a+b)

=>(a+b)=1

or

[a= -b+1]
