Given : log (x+y)/3 = 1/2 (logx+logy) = 1/2 (logxy) = log (xy)^1/2 Therefore, x+y/3 = xy^1/2 => x+y = 3 xy^1/2 SOBS (x+y)^2 = (3 xy^1/2)^2 x^2 + y^2 + 2xy = 9xy x^2 + y^2 = 7xy x^2 + y^2 /xy = 7 Therefore, x/y + y/x = 7.
