add both equations

logax +logay=s+t                  formula {logx+logy=log(xy)}

loga(xy)=s+t

multiply by 2 on both sides

2loga(xy)=2(s+t)            formula {mlogx =logx^m}

====> loga(xy)2=2(s+t)
