Given,

\[\begin{array}{l}M = \left\{ {1,3,5} \right\}\\N = \left\{ {2,4,6} \right\}\end{array}\]

Solution,

Calculate \[M \cup N\]?

Write all elements of both sets.

\[\begin{array}{l} = M \cup N\\ = \left\{ {1,2,3,4,5,6} \right\}\end{array}\]

Calculate \[M \cap N\]

Write common elements of both sets.

\[\begin{array}{l} = M \cap N\\ = \left\{ {} \right\}\end{array}\]

Hence the value of \[M \cup N\] and \[M \cap N\] are \[\left\{ {1,2,3,4,5,6} \right\}\] and \[\left\{ {} \right\}\] respectively.
