Answer:

hlo

your answer is here !

Step-by-step explanation:

Using formula for work =>

1/8 + 1/24 = 1/h

⇒ 4/24 = 1/6. Working together, machines X and Y can produce 1,000 bolts in 6 hours.

It is given that, machine X can produce 1,000 bolts in 8 hours and machine Y can produce 1,000 bolts in 24 hours.

We have to find out how many hours machines X and Y have to work together to produce 1,000 bolts.

In first step, we have to find out the production of machine X per hour.

It is given that Machine X can produce 1000 bolts in 8 hrs.

∴ it  can produce\frac{1000}{8} =125 bolts in an hour.

In second step we have to find out the production of machine Y in per hour.

According the question,Machine Y can produce 1000 bolts in 24 hrs.

∴ it  can produce \frac{1000}{24} =41.66 bolts in an hour.

So, together they can produce( 125+41.66) =166.66 bolts in an hour.

Hence they will produce 1000 bolts in \frac{1000}{166}= 6.02 hours.

Ans :-  Machine X and Y, have to work 6.02 hours together to produce 1,000 bolts.
