If the magnification is +1.5 then it can be concave or either convex ....

Positive magnification suggests that image formed is virtual, erect and enlarged.

Thus, only concave mirror can produce such an image. when the object is placed between pole and focus, a virtual, erect and magnified image is produced behind the mirror.

Plane mirror produces virtual image but of the same size as of object. Convex mirror always forms virtual erect but diminished image.
