Given : Male and female students of section B in DPS and DAV are in ratio 3 : 2 and 4:3 respectively

To Find : male students of section B are how much percent more than female students of section B considering both the schools (approx).

(A) 50% (C) 36% (B) 25% (D) 40%

Solution:

Data is insufficient to solve :

Assuming Both Section B have Equal students  then it can be solved

Assume in each School in B section students are  35 x

Male students in B section of DPS  = (3/5) * 35x  = 21x

Female students in B section of DPS  = (2/5) * 35x  =14x

Male students in B section of DAV  = (4/7) * 35x  = 20x

Female students in B section of DAV  = (3/7) * 35x  =15x

Total male students =  21x + 20x  = 41x

Total females = 14x + 15x  = 29x

Males students more than female students = 41x - 29x  = 12x

in Percentage =  (12x/29x) * 100  = 41.37

In the given option Approximate choice is 40 %

option D ) is correct
