Answer:

Ratio of marked price and cost price = 3 : 2

Ratio of marked price and selling price = 5 : 4

Let Marked price be denoted as M, Selling price as S and cost price as C

⇒ M : C = 3 : 2

M : S = 5 : 4

⇒ M : S : C = 15 : 12 : 10

∴ S : C = 12 : 10

If S.P = 12 unit and C.P = 10 unit, Profit = 2 unit

∴ Profit percentage = (2/10) × 100 = 20%

\huge\fbox{☘Answer}

CP:MP = 2x:3x

⇒ profit = MP- CP = 3x-2x=x

Profit % : discount % = 3:2

Let CP= 200, SP = 300

But 1003x×200+1002x×300=6x+6x=12x

⇒12x=100

⇒x=8.33%

∴ Discount = 2x= 16.66%
